Actively raising money for The Christie Charity
25/03/2011

The Active Profile team are swapping their heels and blazers for runners and sports vests in a mission to raise vital funds for one of the region’s leading cancer centres.
On Sunday May 15 2011 Senior Account Manager Emilie Bradshaw and Senior Account Executive Helen Worthy will take part in the BUPA Great Manchester 10K run in aid of Manchester’s renowned Christie charity.
The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating more than 40,000 patients a year. It also funds a whole range of medical research including new radio pharmacy, communication skills training for nurses and ground breaking cancer research.
The girls have been training hard, battling through Manchester’s arctic weather conditions in preparation for the race. And on the day they know they’ll have the support of the Active Profile team to cheer them over the line.
Helen Worthy said: “The Christie in Manchester is a charity close to both our hearts which is why we want to raise as much money for them as possible to help treat people who are affected by cancer and also to help find a much needed cure.”
Emilie Bradshaw added; “The Christie is such a worthwhile charity and we would really like to hit our fundraising total of £500. All donations, no matter how small, will help us to help them to make a difference. If you can sponsor us please visit our Just Giving Page http://www.justgiving.com/helenbenannaemilie10krun.
