Atlantic Chambers host Clinical Negligence Conference

LIVERPOOL’s Atlantic Chambers is hosting a Clinical Negligence Conference on Thursday September 9 2010 at the Hilton, Liverpool.

Professor Neil Jones, chief of Hand Surgery at the University of California Irvine, has been confirmed as the main speaker and will deliver a detailed talk on Medical Malpractice.

Scott Donovan, head barrister at Atlantic Chambers and head of the Clinical Negligence Group, said: “Atlantic Chambers’ Clinical Group’s Conferences have fast become important dates in the calendars of our instructing solicitors and we are delighted to have secured Professor Neil Jones as our main speaker for our forthcoming event.

“He is a pioneer in toe-to-hand transplantation and has extensive experience of complex hand surgery and what American lawyers call Medical Malpractice.

“His session promises to be highly insightful and analytical and of real interest to our delegates.

“Like Atlantic Chambers he is a great believer in Continual Professional Development (CPD) and like other invited academics Professor Jones will make a huge contribution to our education programme.”

Elizabeth Hardy, an Occupational Therapy care expert, who has extensive experience dealing with upper limb injuries, will provide a complementary talk. While Tony Ashton, of A & M Wealth, will talk on the “Management of damages: investment and financial advice.”
Subject to accreditation, the Conference will attract 2.5 CPD points and numbers will be limited to 50 delegates.
