ACCIDENT management company Call Zebra saw a surge in applications to join its repairer network following BE 2009.
A total of 24 bodyshops applied to join the revolutionary “U&I network” in the 48 hours after the show, held on September 11th.
Darren Gilling, managing director of Call Zebra, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the response from the show. It proved the perfect opportunity for bodyshops who’ve heard about Call Zebra to meet the team in person and find out more about the dynamics of the U&I network. We’ve had tremendous feedback and we look forward to introducing more bodyshops to the network very soon. We are at the point now where we are having to turn some bodyshops away if we already have a network partner in their particular area. Bodyshops are kicking themselves that they didn’t join earlier – especially as it’s free to join.”
Call Zebra has taken the industry by storm since its launch in April 2008. The U&I network, which currently has over 70 partners, is expanding every week. The Call Zebra concept enables repairers, dealerships and manufacturers to become their own 24/ 7 national accident management operations, branded under their company name. It is free to join the U&I repairer network and there are no mandatory product deals. Members even receive free training and marketing support.
Call Zebra recently launched a steering group for members of the U&I network, giving repairers the opportunity to make real decisions about the network moving forward on a whole host of issues, from labour rates to advertising opportunities.
Darren Gilling added: “The network members are embracing the opportunity to play an active role in the long term development of the network. Some fantastic ideas came out of our first steering group meeting in Manchester on August 13th, and we will be building on these when the group meets again in the South East in November.”
