Since Active Profile began working with the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) eight years ago, we have led on the development and delivery of the EIC’s communications strategy – effectively acting as its in-house marketing team. Attracting new innovators and promoting the transition that the energy networks are aiming to achieve through innovation have always been integral to the EIC value proposition.
It was within this context that the concept of the UK Energy Innovation Awards for the EIC was first developed back in 2008. The aim was to create a platform that would enable innovators engaged with the sector to promote the novel technologies that have the potential to shape our energy future, and to share their stories with industry stakeholders and influencers including the energy distribution networks, the supply chain, policymakers, academia and the media.
Now in its sixth year, the UK Energy Innovation Awards have become a highlight in the energy networks’ calendar. They provide a valuable opportunity for networking and celebration, and are a unique occasion for the industry to mix with potential collaborators in an informal setting.
