After working with the Liverpool BID Company previously on a number of projects, we were appointed in January 2016 to help secure the Commercial District BID until June 2021 via a re-ballot. We played an integral role in the communications and engagement campaign, which resulted in the most successful vote result in the BID’s history.
We created a three month communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, as well as a detailed planner mapping out all PR and marketing activity. We needed to grab people’s attention. So, through the use of engaging copy, stunning photography and infographics, we designed and produced the 2016-21 business plan.
From this we developed a suite of marketing materials ensuring brand consistency throughout the campaign. Working with Zut Media, we also produced a video that delivered a powerful message showcasing all the great work that the BID had achieved to date, as well as its plans for the future. This told the story in a snappy, engaging and eye-catching way.
All video and design assets were supplied to the BID so that its communications team could deliver the campaign with support and guidance from Active Profile throughout. The end result saw 85 per cent of voters say yes to the Commercial District BID operating for another five years.
increase in voter turnout
''Thanks are due to Active Profile who did a superb job in helping us with the design and production of the business plan, which was our key document for the ballot campaign, and in advising us on the marketing strategy. They also introduced us to Zut Media, who did a similarly great job in producing our ballot video to an impossibly tight timescale. The content, design and production quality of the business plan is better than any other documents of this type I have seen. The strength of the yes vote suggests that the very professional approach which Active Profile brought to design and production paid dividends.''
