The project

Having been granted planning permission for the first phase of Chester Central Business Quarter’s 3.5-acre City Place development in March 2013, Muse Developments needed a partner to develop a comms strategy to raise the profile of City Place as a sustainable new business quarter in the city and to work with the agents to market the first office building, One City Place, to potential occupiers.

Objectives

  • - To position City Place as the number one place for business in Chester
  • - To raise the profile of City Place in the media
  • - To position Phil Mayall as a business thought leader in the city

“The continued publicity created by Active Profile has been key to attracting interest from occupiers and conveying the strategic importance of the scheme both regionally and nationally.''

Phil Mayall, Development Director, Muse Developments

The solution

After winning a competitive pitch in January 2014, we developed a full PR planner for City Place, incorporating all on- and offline media tactics.

To raise noise levels about the development in the city, we worked with Muse to create ambassadors whose role was to spread the word about the scheme.

The result

We secured coverage in key regional and national business press, including North West Business Insider, Place North West and Property Week, and raised the profile of the City Place team.

This was especially successful for Development Director Phil Mayall, for whom we delivered comment and speaker opportunities, blog posts and interviews. One City Place is now fully occupied.
