The project

Following the launch of the inaugural Inspired Spaces North campaign in 2016, which proved to be a huge success across the digital and creative sector, Active Profile identified an opportunity to make the programme bigger and better for 2017. Inspired Spaces North 2017 wanted to again shine the spotlight on the northern-based creative and digital companies that had invested in creating interesting and innovative workspaces to help to attract, retain and motivate the best employees.

The solution

Over the last two years, Prolific North and Active Profile have identified and secured partnerships with leading companies from across the property and design sectors, including Capital & Centric, Brabners, Zut Media, Sheila Bird Group and GVA.

A robust six-month PR and digital marketing campaign has been designed for the feature, to engage with and encourage new businesses to submit the very best in creative, technology and media workspaces across the North. A host of tactics were employed, including animated videos, press releases, social media content, vlogs, blog posts, website articles, public voting and a wrap party, all of which resulted in significantly improved year-on-year outcomes.

The result

As a result of our 2017 campaign, 52 entries were received from 19 towns and cities in the North of England, with over 21,000 views to 140 dedicated Inspired Spaces North 2017 website pages on Prolific North.

There were 1,789 views of the Inspired Spaces North 2017 promo video, over 7,500 views of sponsors blogs and vlogs and over 7,695 public votes from the digital and creative community.
