The project

IT and cloud-hosting provider SysGroup, needed a PR and social campaign to amplify news of its acquisition of Rockford IT beyond city and financial media. With headquarters in Liverpool and London, and Rockford IT based in Telford, SysGroup needed to cover all three regions and target national trade press to build its profile in key sectors. With one week until the announcement, a responsive and proactive approach to the brief was required.

The solution

Active Profile delivered a comprehensive PR support package, including targeted media releases, interviews and thought leadership articles. Our growth marketing team also made updates to the SysGroup website and implemented a robust social media plan.

With no followers or posts to begin with, we fed into social media prior to the launch to increase awareness of the company and drive traffic to the corporate website.

The result

The announcement generated 15 pieces of coverage in North West, West Midlands, and national trade publications, reaching around 20.5 million people. As a result, the SysGroup social accounts gained 93 new social followers in the first week alone,

and four additional profiling opportunities were secured for SysGroup spokespeople in top tier trade titles.
